I'm back....and I'm leaving again!
Well here I am, still alive and kickin after our week long canoe trip. You'll be glad to know I did not get manhandled by any massive animals, I didn't drown in rapids, and I didn't catch any rare diseases in the land of the north. So all is well.
We headed out at 5am last tuesday morning and had a fun filled week of over 100km of canoeing, golf ball sized hail (litteraly), sleeping in dinky tents with groups of people who snore horrendously, millions of bug bites, and a whole lotta spam sandwiches! Over all it was a really wicked time, and me and Curt didn't kill eachother while canoeing...although I can't say that Brenda would say the same about Justin..lol.
When I got back, I had about 3 days of calm before the storm. Tommorrow at 4:15, Jessica and I are off to Langley on the Grey dog. That is after all the Canada Day events of course, like the pancake breakfast, Grenfells parade, the firefighting show...all the great stuff. Training week for CREW starts saturday, and that will start off the crazy adventure of the rest of my summer. I am getting really excited to meet people and find out where I will be heading. I will do my best to keep ya'll updated, but knowing how much of a slacker I am, dont expect alot!
