Hug A Tree

So today was a special day. Celebrating Saskatchewans centential this year was such a fun occasion that every student got their very own tree to plant! Brenda and I took advantage of this great opportunity and took a tree to take home.

The tree in comparison to
Brenders head! ooo aaah!

We even got directions as to
how to plant the little bundle
of life.

Help it grow Brenda, Help it grow!

We did however have to work
against the odds of the damn
guinea pig!

Oh the joys of planting a tree. We'll let you know how they are coming along!

Just Another Friday

I love weekends! I slept in until 11 today. It was a much needed rest, and I plan to do something very similar tommorrow morning!
So the plans for tonight were to go on a hike and weiner roast in the valley. However, the weather wasn't promising, and rather than going all the way to the valley, we decided to be a bunch of hicks and instead, hike through a farmers pasture. Yup i know...embarrasing. It was still a good time, despite the burrs I am still picking off my body! And I got to eat a hot dog so I was happy!
For the rest of the night I have been trying to do homework and fill out scholarships...so if any of you are experts at bullshitting and telling about Haileys most significant contribution to the community, let me know, and you can finish filling them out for me.
Have a good one!

Yikes

Alright, so as most of know, I turned myself into a red head this summer, which at first was fun. I liked it alot, until I got the skunky look going on with blonde roots. So I decided i must end this ugly stage. After spending 4 hours at the hairdressers yesterday...the red was gone. However, I now remind myself of something in between Barbie and white trash. So in conclusion...the ugly stage is only part way over. Let's hope we can soon turn this head of hair back to a normal color.

What A Summer

Hey strangers! Its been two months, and alot has been going on! On July 1st I left Grenfell on the Greydog and headed to Langley BC. for Crew Ministries Summer Team. We had a week of training which was intense but great fun! We then split up into two seperate teams, (mine consisted of me, Laya, Marcus, and Jerrica) and headed seperate directions. To make a long story short, we went from Nanaimo B.C, to Markerville AB., to Edmonton AB., to Medicine Hat AB., to Winnipeg MB., to Simcoe ON., and finally to Chilliwack BC. We spent 6 of those weeks doing Vacation Bible School in different churches, and 1 week doing a kids camp! It was a crazy and fun filled summer! Some highlights included:
-meeting great new people and reconnecting with old friends!
-singing the same VBS songs over and over until you were ready to end your own life.
-riding on the greyhound bus for 76 hours straight!!
-dipping my toes in Lake Erie.
-Going on the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls.
-Going slug hunting with coke and salt (save the slugs eh Marcus)
-riding the two seater bike in Markerville! fun times
-Cliff jumping off dangerously high cliffs
-going to taste of Edmonton...and tasting some of edmonton...
-dancing at the front of empty theaters...
-having jam sessions with all the old men at camp!
The summer was jam packed with insanity and I loved it. There are some pics on my space (through msn messenger) if you want to check them out!

Now I am back to the normal life of school, work, meetings, coffee. Even though its slightly boring, there is a sense of comfort when it comes to this familiar life! So until things start to become unfamiliar thats all i've got for ya! Enjoy, and sorri for the tremendously long wait. Patience is a virtue!!
